1. Kraft Azalea Garden
The garden is located in Winter Park. It’s open seven days per week, from eight in the morning to seven in the evening. Make sure you check the hours of operation before you go because holidays may affect them.
The garden sits on just over five-acres, so there is plenty of space for you to roam. It’s a good idea to bring a picnic along with you and take in the surrounding scenery as you eat. Remember to bring a pair of binoculars for some bird-watching.

This is a park that is worth going to, and it is free to enter. Make sure to bring a camera because you’ll want to snap photos of the cool buildings. You can easily spend hours here walking around.
If you do bring along some money, then you can dine at one of the many places located within the park. Also in Old Town are some amusement rides, as well as souvenir shops. Generally speaking, it is an affordable attraction, but you don’t need to pay to enter the park.

3. Big Tree Park
Another free park you can go to is Big Tree Park, which is one of the best parks in the area. This was once home to a cypress tree that was called The Senator, which was over 3,000 years old. However, the tree ended up burning down about six years ago.
The tree might not be there anymore, but you’ll still want to go there. In fact, Lady Liberty is another massive tree located there. Besides that, you can walk along the trail and bring your kids to the playground. Be prepared to spend a few hours because there is a lot of things to do and see in the Big Tree Park.
