Revolution The Off Road Experience will be using the production version of the 2002 SVT Focus. When it arrived at Ford SVT dealerships it took the compact performance car segment by storm and subsequently the rally championships.
It features a 2.0L SVT Zetec DOHC 4-cylinder engine, producing 170 horsepower at 7000 rpm and 145 ft.-lbs. of torque at 5,500 rpm.
The engine has developed 85 percent of its peak torque by the time it reaches 2,200 rpm. and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. "This low-end, driveable torque will be a real surprise to a lot of people," says Andy Slankard, SVT Focus program manager. "It makes the car very responsive and fun to drive."
Other features include unique front and rear fascias, a spoiler, 17-inch wheels with high performance tyres, larger brakes, and an SVT-tuned suspension.
