International visitors.
By Kevin | October 28, 2008
Revolution was delighted to welcome to it’s property Birgit Klafstadbakken, she lives here in Orlando but originates from Denmark. It was a pleasure to have her and her husband ride with us. As you can see we did our usual trick of making her smile for the camera after a particularly dusty ride.
We hope tp welcome more International riders soon.

Our youngest fan!
By Kevin | October 28, 2008
Rhyse, is our two year great nephew old living in Howick, New Zealand, but is already an off road fan. He can manage to scoot down on his tryke to the bottom of the hill in 9.2 seconds. I can’t wait to see him ride our four wheelers in a few years.

Billy gets revved up and bogged down!!
By Kevin | August 8, 2008
Oh my my! what a difference a day makes, we were playing “nicely” with the TV personality and hosts of “Wranglers of the Deep” when Billy Payne, the resident dare devil, took the jeep through the water splash not once but twice but after several inches of rain the night before the ground was very soft and what had been a breeze the day before for the Jeep Wrangler was slurry too far on this occasion.
Everyone had a good laugh at Billy’s expense on the show, but fair play to him he took off his shoes and socks and helped to get hooked up for a tow out of the water splash.![]()
Not only did he have great fun on this day he is coming back several more times to see what else he can get stuck. He also named the water splash for the first time as “Hog Jaw Wallow” well wallow he did and not only the name stuck on this ocassion.
Well done and thank you Billy you made our day we can’t wait to see what you make of the ski ramp! Revolution Off Road is proud to be associated with the hit TV show “Wranglers of the Deep” look out for our three back to back episodes on WRDQ HD TV.
When we get to grips with it we will put the program on You Tube for you to see in the meantime watch the blog for next weeks adventure.

It turns out she was a real pussycat and the perfect driver, but who would argue with her anyway. Our sincere thanks to Jungle Adventures for bringing her along to Wekiva Springs this week where we were taking part in a TV programme about this great place lets hope it continues to be a roaring success!!!

Bulldogs and Hairnets!!
By Kevin | July 26, 2008
![]()
Revolution had much pleasure in entertaining the South Jersey Bulldogs who were in town to play in a baseball tournament. Much fun was had on the ATV’s although some chickened out when it came to going through the standing water after the day’s afternoon rains, but they were not shy of wearing the fashion accessory of a stylish helmet liner. Sorry Boys! but you look so good in them I wanted the world to see you. Good Luck in your future events and come and see us again next time.

Off Road Fun
By Kevin | June 23, 2008
Barry Dunphy and his sons had some fun driving the dune buggies around the hill course. Barry, Paul and Mark are all motorbike fans from Devon thought this would be a welcome change from two wheels. They chose to do both the 4×4 and dune buggy experiences as part of their holiday fun in Florida and thoroughly enjoyed the day. “We’ll recommend it to anyone we meet” said Barry and “will certainly be back next visit to try something else”.
Thanks guys we enjoyed your visit.

Off Road at it’s dirty best
By Kevin | May 28, 2008
No one ever said that off road riding was anything but dirty!. Take a look at Chris one of our instructors who had just taken a group of six happy riders over the course. Florida has had little or no rain for the last few months which is great for the trails but it has left them dusty.
Well done Chris but make up like this should be left to the Trick or Treaters.

Jeepers!!
By Kevin | May 7, 2008
Well here it is the most amazing set of stairs ever! This structure made with over 60 Rail Road Ties weighing in at over 140 lbs each forms the base of the structure. They are held in place by 200 paramount steel 12″ screws all set on 10 tons of sand and put into place by our own (now not so fair hands).
It stands 5ft in height and has an angle of 40 degrees on either side. The Jeep Wrangler has only minimum clearance at the steepest angle.
Not overly impressive when you stand by the side of it BUT when you are trying to control the Jeep to step up and then down it is the thrill of a lifetime especially as you can see mainly only sky as you set off. You feel inordinately proud of yourself as you finish the task.
The view from the top is spectacular, with panoramic views of both lakes.
When you have mastered this it’s on to the hills which again offer a master class in vehicle control. The traction required to manoeuvre some of these areas is amazing and the Jeep does them with ease, drivers take a little more handling.

REVOLUTION OFF ROAD DUNE BUGGIES ARRIVE!
By Kevin | February 13, 2008
Now you would be forgiven for thinking that we had little else to do but play all day, but I have to tell you the arrival of our 5 dune buggies was really exciting. Although they are not sign written yet, they are so special, complete with roll cages and full safety harnesses they can carry two people. Ideal for the “scared y cats” amongst us…
Unlike any thing else we have seen so far in Florida they ride and drive really well, we have three with 650hp engines and two with 850hp engines. They have great suspension and handling and can reach up to 50mph over the grass. It feels so much faster, the nearer the ground you are the faster it looks and feels.
But time for a reality check and we had to put the toys away again and get back to grass cutting and track maintenance luckily we have bought a tractor to help us with the never ending task of grass cutting, it is cooler now so at least the growing season is at an end for a while. I never thought that 200 acres of green fields could take so much effort.
Still when you have an end of the day view like this it really is worth it.
In my next blog, which won’t be so long in coming for those avid readers amongst you, I will show you our latest ATV’S and update the photos of the Dune Buggy course which has developed even further and our Bass Boat which has already seen some action and magnificent catches from the lake. AJ

THE REVVING UP HAS BEGUN!!
By Kevin | November 13, 2007
We are really beginning to take shape now, the 4×4 course has started to take definition and even the contractors are beginning to get the excited about this off road course, it has all the makings of one of the highlights of Revolution and some of the workforce have been asking to book a visit as soon as we are up and running.
With switchbacks set at angles of over 35 deg and a set of five 15’ humps to maneuver, the first visitors to Revolution will start to feel the adrenalin pump almost immediately and we are not finished in this area yet, we still have log piles, rock climb and the ”Bomb Hole” to introduce.
But there is still a ways to go and as you can see from some of the photographs the tracks are in need of some stabilizing, mud slide as opposed to hill slide comes to mind when it rains, there is some landscaping to do here as well.
Back down at ground level much more earth clearing and the arrival of 350 trees and 3000 shrubs to be planted has prevented further “play time” on the hills.
The weather is still warm and with very little rain it means we can crack on with the track preparation, but first we need to clear out some of the old stuff left behind by the sawmill, who owned the land before us, take a look at the pile we have gathered so far, seems their form of recycling was to bury it, old generators and anything else they didn’t want!!.
Watch this space as we gather momentum in preparation of opening. AJ
